ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS
As a group dedicated to the purpose of studying and actively sharing horticulture history, and the use of herbs, we have been pleased to offer annual scholarships to students active within the study of horticulture or a related field. Our scholarships are awarded to students living in the Heartland area of Pennsylvania, which includes: Berks, Montgomery, Chester, York, Schuylkill, Lancaster, Columbia, Lehigh and Lebanon counties. The applicant must be a third or fourth year student within the study of horticulture or a related field.
We have awarded 25 scholarships since 1992. Below is a list of recent recipients:
2019 - $1,500 awarded to Alicia M. Stitzel, Pennsylvania State Univiersity
2019 - $1,500 awarded to Nicole Guise, Pennsylvania State University
2018 - $2,000 awarded to Dylan Schoemaker, Penn State University
2018 - $1,000 awarded to Nicholas Tornambe, Temple University, Ambler
2017 - $2,000 awarded to Hannah Maakestad, Temple University
2016 - $1,500 awarded to Ila Jeanette Outerbridge, Temple University.
2015 - $1,500 awarded to Katherine Beekman, Delaware Valley University.
Please Note: Scholarship applications must be received by April 1 of each year.
